our story

Headquartered in Amsterdam, our company was created in January 2020 by bringing together two of the world's most successful food delivery firms: Takeaway.com (founded in 2000 in The Netherlands) and Just Eat (founded in 2001 in Denmark). Our strategy is to build sustainable leadership in all of our 17 markets by powering our local brands. Through our global online food and retail delivery marketplace, we connect consumers with hundreds of thousands of partners, offering consumers a wide variety of choice, from food to groceries and retail products.

Our vision is to empower everyday convenience for our partners and consumers - whether your usual Friday night takeaway or new phone charger, to your daily lunch break or last-minute groceries, we've got you covered.
