What does your job involve?
I’m a Front-End Developer for the Back-Office Customer Service team. That means being responsible for implementing and improving the App UI for the Ticketing Management System used by our global Customer Services teams. Our goal is to help these teams boost their efficiency and give better service.
We are an enthusiastic team, aiming to improve the software and implement the latest design principles in the industry - in particular improving the lives of customer service.
What characteristics are needed for this role and why?
First and foremost, teamwork. Enthusiasm to improve and expand the knowledge as well as sharing it with fellow team members.
What do you like about your role?
It’s challenging but at the same time, the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed. The team members are willing to support you in every aspect.
What are your KPI’s?
Our main objective is to integrate all Takeaway.com brands into one product for all ticketing management systems and reduce the time a customer service agent spends on solving a ticket. We are working hard to improve our SLA (Service Level Agreement) and best serve our customers and partner restaurants.
Which tools you are using for work?
-I use Vue.js (Vuex) because it’s one of the best JS frameworks in the market. It’s very intuitive to work with, and we believe it makes us more productive.
- As a code editor, I use Visual Studio Code.
- For communication: Slack, Lifesize, Google Hangouts and other products (Gmail, Google calendar, Google drive, Google docs)
- For ticketing: Jira and Confluence.
What would you tell someone who is considering joining us?
If you’d like to be part of an innovative company with colleagues and customers from all over the world then Takeaway.com is the perfect place to be. I’ve grown as
a Software Engineer, but I’ve also learned a lot outside of my role.
What are your personal aims for the future?
My vision is to become a better Software Engineer and to help improve the products that we offer at Takeaway.com.
The first thing you do when you arrive at the office is:
Say good morning to my colleagues, grab my first coffee and start coding!
Your favorite spot in the office?
Simple. Library on the 4th floor.
What can we find at your desk?
My coffee cup, laptop, and a grip strengthener.
What do you usually order for lunch?
I like to try and order a wide variety of foods. But Burrito/Veg bowls and Pizza are among my favourites.
Hobbies outside of work?
I’d have to say Netflix and the gym.
An interesting fact we didn’t know about you?
I’m left-handed [*waves hand*].
